For over 20 years, Peter has advised entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 companies, AMLaw 300 Litigators, and institutional investors engaged in the development and commercialization of patented technology, IP licensing, IP finance, and IP disputes within a number of industry sectors in North America and Europe.  

Peter has been recognized by his peer group as one of the IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists each year since 2012.

Stanko is a technology licensing  expert with decades of experience as both a software designer and as a technical leader at prominent IP licensing organizations.  

Stanko is an electrical engineer by training, and his industry experience includes roles as a developer for Alcatel, Cisco, and telecom startups. After moving from industry to Chipworks, he pioneered new software reverse engineering methodologies and led analysis in support of high-stakes IP litigation and industry licensing negotiations.  Following Chipworks, Stanko led patent assessment as Vice President of Technology Licensing at WiLan, where he managed WiLan's IP acquisition process and contributed to numerous IP licensing efforts. 

Stanko is also the developer of Patentcut.com, a patent analytics platform designed to effectively facilitate the review of US issued patents.

  In addition to providing traditional in-house counsel functions, Boris brings to Highlands substantial experience in IP valuation, buy-side due diligence, commercial damages assessments, and patent landscaping & analytics.  

During his tenure at Navigant and Ankura Consulting, he directed teams involved in preparing dozens of expert witness reports in US & international litigation and arbitration; he also acted as the IP practice lead for patent analytics, contributing substantially to industry-leading efforts to use analytics to effectively evaluate Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) and to determine the appropriate royalty rates for SEP patent pools.

Larry has advised clients on establishing royalty rates for worldwide licenses to standard-essential telecom patent portfolios; advised companies and investors in acquisitions of IP portfolios; and in negotiation of business terms of patent licenses and settlements of patent litigation.  

Larry is acknowledged as one of the world’s top 300 leading IP strategists by Intellectual Asset Management magazine. 

He held several securities licenses including, Series 7, 24, 53, and 63 during his tenure at Merrill Lynch.
